1. WHO WE ARE AND WHAT THIS POLICY COVERS
American Tackle is a brand of Foundation Outdoor Group, Inc. (“FOG,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information in connection with www.americantackle.us, newsletter subscriptions, website inquiries, and related communications.
Foundation Outdoor Group, Inc. is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Mud Hole Custom Tackle is a trade name of Foundation Outdoor Group, Inc. and provides operational and customer service support.
Other FOG websites, dealer portals, and online stores may display separate privacy notices that apply to activity on those services. This policy does not replace a privacy notice provided for a separate transaction or service.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Information you provide
We collect your email address when you subscribe to our newsletter. If you contact us, submit a form, or request product, dealer, or business information, we collect the information you provide, which may include your name, email address, telephone number, company, location, product interests, and the contents of your message. We also maintain records of your subscription preferences and communications with us.
Please do not submit full payment-card details, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive information through general website forms or email. Most website content can be viewed without providing contact information, but we need an email address to send a newsletter or an appropriate means of contact to respond to a request.
Technical information
Our website hosting and technology providers may automatically collect information needed to deliver, maintain, and protect the website, such as IP address, browser and device information, referring page, pages requested, access times, and error or security logs. An IP address may indicate an approximate location. We do not request precise device location through this website.
Email communications
Our email service providers process email addresses, subscription status, delivery results, and unsubscribe requests. Depending on the service and settings used, marketing emails may also report opens and link clicks through embedded images or tracked links. We use any such engagement information to assess and improve our communications, subject to consent requirements and your choices. Email applications may limit or affect the accuracy of this information.
3. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

An inquiry does not, by itself, authorize unrelated marketing where separate consent is required. Marketing from other FOG brands will be subject to the scope of the subscription or permission provided and applicable law.
4. EMAIL CHOICES
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in a message or by emailing legal@fog-usa.com with the email address you want removed. We honor marketing opt-out requests within the time required by law and, for U.S. commercial email, no later than 10 business days.
Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent necessary nonmarketing communications, such as responses to your requests or notices concerning a transaction, product safety, or an existing business relationship. We may retain a limited suppression record to help ensure your address is not added back to a marketing list contrary to your preference.
5. COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES
Website platforms may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies for security, site functionality, preferences, and operation. These technologies can exist even when a website does not use advertising pixels. 6. HOW INFORMATION IS DISCLOSED
Information may be disclosed:
• To service providers supporting hosting, website forms, email delivery, communications, technical support, security, and recordkeeping, for the services they provide to us.
• To personnel supporting American Tackle and Mud Hole within Foundation Outdoor Group, Inc., as needed for the purposes described in this policy.
• To a dealer or other recipient when you request a referral or direct us to make the disclosure.
• To professional advisers, authorities, or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect rights and safety, or address fraud and security issues.
• In connection with a proposed or completed merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of relevant business assets, subject to applicable privacy obligations.
We do not sell or rent our newsletter mailing list. We do not authorize our service providers to use subscriber information for their own unrelated marketing. This policy does not authorize uploading subscriber lists to advertising platforms or using website information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Any material change in these practices would require appropriate disclosures and any legally required consent or opt-out controls before implementation.
7. RETENTION AND SECURITY
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, taking account of the relationship or request, subscription status, legal requirements, dispute resolution, security needs, and applicable recordkeeping obligations. We may keep limited records after an unsubscribe or deletion request when needed to honor your choices or meet a legal obligation. Information no longer needed is deleted or de-identified, subject to ordinary backup and retention processes.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No website, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
8. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
Depending on your location and the law applicable to our processing, you may have rights to request access to or a copy of your information, correction, deletion, portability, restriction of processing, or objection to certain processing. We will not require unnecessary sensitive information, and a marketing unsubscribe does not require additional identity documentation.
We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law, explain any applicable exception, and provide appeal information where required. To appeal a denial where that right applies, contact the same address with “Privacy Appeal” in the subject line. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
9. INTERNATIONAL VISITORS
We operate in the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. Privacy laws in those countries may differ from those in your location. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we will use an authorized transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards. This website is intended for adults and business users, not children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Links to dealers, social networks, videos, account portals, and other websites may lead to services with their own privacy notices. Review those notices before providing information. We are responsible for our own practices and for providers acting on our behalf to the extent required by law; independent operators are responsible for their separate practices.
12. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy as our website or practices change. We will revise the date above and provide additional notice or obtain consent when required by law. An update does not, by itself, authorize a materially different use of previously collected information where notice, consent, or another legal basis is required.
